This white pine from Dunham, Eastern Townships (Quebec) has stood in the middle of an individual's forest for more than a century.
The original and unique work Écorces ou peaux diverses, mais ensemble! is composed of a cut-out photographic image and a sculptural intervention in ebony. A game of mixing skins and barks is created by the insertion of ebony opposing the real essence of the tree and the repositioning of the oversized pine bark.
Frame size: 25 x 36 in / 63.5 x 91.5 cm
Museum (archive) quality pigment print on 100% cotton paper with a velvety, lightly textured matte finish.
Sculptural intervention with ebony recovered from the workshop of Mario Lamarre, luthier.
The work is framed in a white shaddow box frame with ArtGlass AR70 anti-reflective glass.
