Douglas fir on Vancouver Island encountered during our visit to the Mac Millan Park in the summer of 2021. The soul of this tree left long time ago but still stands tall in this lush forest. Artificial lighting was necessary to highlight this sculpture hidden in the shade of the forest at sunrise.
The original work Socle pour sculpture végétale honors the cycles of life. Of a once magnificent tree in this abundant forest, only a part of the trunk remains which continues to collaborate in a different way with the ecosystem of the forest.
