We discovered this maple in the town of Dunham in the Eastern Townships (Quebec) on a fairly cold fall day. Although it is on the edge of a road, it stands in all its dignity. He touched us with his bearing, his double trunk, his posture as a worthy representative of the maples of this region.
The original work Douce incursion! is composed of a photographic image and a sculptural intervention in maple and ebony wood. A breach is made in the trunk and allows us to penetrate the tree as if a zone of light invites us to see it from the inside.
Frame size: 25 x 36 in / 63.5 x 91.5 cm
Museum (archive) quality pigment print on 100% cotton paper with a velvety, lightly textured matte finish.
